Heavily influenced by the death of her brother from a rare genetic disease — Karen began using her art form to raise awareness & educate her audience on the physical & emotional impact of serious medical issues. 
 
Her Kickstarter-funded her first book, “An Ordinary Day, Kids with Rare Genetic Conditions. Proceeds went to a non-profit supporting children affected by genetic disease. 

"After That Day - Stories of Epilepsy" is her second published book and she is working on her third book now. Stay tuned.

Rafi, Karens brother, passed away before the age of 3 from Tay Sachs. He was the 5th child in the world diagnosed with Tay Sachs at the time.
