Once you clue into that and you start to see those moments, it makes it much easier to overcome the depression and the lack of expectation of her ever being something, because you know, there’s more in there when you see those moments. During a third trimester ultra sound, Clara’s parents received the news that their daughter had rhabdomyomas, or benign heart tumors. Clara also has tubers growing in her brain, which cause developmental and language delays. In order to minimize the seizures, the speech center of her brain has been removed.
