Gastroparesis, Crohns & Rheumatoid Arthritis

Alexandra & Jonna

Alexandra, 13, and Jonna, 12, both suffer from chronic illnesses. Alexandra battles chronic inflammation, which has caused Crohn’s disease, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and joint inflammation throughout her body. Meanwhile, at the age of 11, Jonna’s stomach muscles essentially stopped working—a condition known as gastroparesis. Inspired by their own struggles with sickness, the sisters founded Fighting H.A.R.D., a foundation that seeks to help children with chronic illnesses and rare diseases. Jonna loves to play soccer when she is feeling well. She also enjoys watching cooking shows. Alexandra loves music, art, and writing in her spare time.
