Glass Syndrome

Daniel

Though Daniel’s parents first noticed developmental issues at 9 months, they did not receive his diagnosis, Glass syndrome, until about two years ago. At 5, Daniel has trouble with his fine and gross motor skills and is nonverbal. There is still very little known about this disorder. Daniel loves playing with cars, especially ones that have doors that open and close. He also loves bubbles and bringing his suitcase around.

I think that the more I’m researching about genetic disorders and the more people I’m coming into contact with, I may be realizing that it’s maybe more than meets the eye, and maybe I can stop blaming myself.

– Eliza, Daniel’s mother
